Ghoul
From Rampedia
A dead race of men, the Ghouls have been resurrected by their leader, Xio, who they pledge their allegiance to wholeheartedly. The Ghouls of Hatrin are mindless killing machines; though, that is not to say they are unable to find themselves into the occasional group of wanderers. It is not wise, however, to trust a Ghoul, since they are taught to kill when one’s back is turned.
Ghouls are completely resistant to the darker magic. In fact, if they are attacked with it, they will absorb most of its negative effects, healing them, instead. However, they are extremely vulnerable to the lighter magics, and they burn for an extraordinarily long time. Ghouls cannot perform magic, as it involves delving into your soul to withdraw power for your essence.
The Ghouls, because of their inability to cast spells, use a limited pool of Essence. Essence is sapped from enemies during battle, as well as upon defeating an enemy. Each hit regenerates Lv Essence, and killing an enemy regenerates 3Lv. Eating an enemy's corpse regenerates an additional Lv Energy.
Their habitat, the Graves of Xio, is a dead place of black and fester where the Ghouls are raised. The gravesite is an old burial ground for Empires’ fallen elite, and because of that Ghouls are excellent fighters—skilled with a blade, a bow, and a dagger.

[edit] Racial Abilities
- Ghouls are the only race that can resist any Magic completely. However, because they are so in-tune with the dark magic, they resist it +5 points more than 100%, thus healing them for 10% the amount of damage any time they are attacked or affected by it.
- Ghouls take 150% damage when being attacked by Light spells, and, additionally, when they are affected by a friendly light spell, they only receive 50% of the benefit.
- Devour: The Ghoul eats a fallen enemy to absorb its energy and restore 20% of his total HP. If the enemy is unconscious (thus, still alive) he restores 30% of his life. Players do not get experience if a Ghoul eats an alive target.
- Xio's Influence: Momentarily grants the Ghoul 2 turns of invulnerability, during which he cannot be affected by any negative effects. However, all his damage is reduced by 50%. This can only be used once a session.
[edit] Classes
[edit] Bane
Bane Ghouls were resurrected by Xio with one purpose—to rip and tear at the walls of his enemies' bodies with deadly poisons and elixirs. Because of their affinity for EOT skills, they have the ability to stack up numerous effects on opponents, after which they can then attack with deadly accuracy in order to finish them off.
[edit] Flesh
Flesh Ghouls get their name from mastering the art of physically disabling their enemies, whether through breaking their limbs, tearing at their muscles, or biting their flesh. They are a feared force on the battleground, disabling their opponents, then leaving them to wallow and suffer in agony.
[edit] Bone
Bone Ghouls are the armored hide that protects Xio and his forces on the battleground. They are vicious, tactile, and cunning, knowing how to dodge, block, and strike when their opponent is weak. Bone Ghouls defend their band with heavy armor, tall shields, and an insatiable thirst for blood.
[edit] Shadow
Masters of engulfing their opponents in darkness while corrupting their minds, hearts, and souls, the Shadow Ghoul tears at the very fabric of his enemies' psyches. Chosen by Xio for their mental capacity, the Shadow Ghoul is the only Ghoul that does not focus on attacking his enemy physically. This means, however, that the Shadow Ghoul is weaker and more susceptible to damage on the battlefield.
